The Irvine Spectrum Center provides over 1,000 square feet of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The centerpiece of this amazing destination is a beautiful, 108 ft. tall Ferris wheel! With more visitors per year than Disneyland, the Irvine Spectrum Center decided to give their centerpiece a face-lift, creating the most unique Ferris wheel in Southern California.
The Irvine Spectrum Ferris wheel is now illuminated by thousands of LED lights, held in place by a 4in. x 4in. mesh grid. The Irvine Company had a particular list of desires when it came to creating this masterpiece: it needed to look like a Ferris wheel, it needed to be unique, and it needed to easily change depending on the season or the special event. The NECA/IBEW team went above and beyond when delivering on these promises.
Briggs Electric, IBEW Local 441, and Orange County Chapter NECA worked together to bring this spectacular, one-of-a-kind Ferris wheel to the Irvine Spectrum Center, overcoming safety concerns and design challenges, creating solutions to get the work done, and proving to the community once again that the NECA/IBEW team is the way to go.
