The St. Louis Gateway Arch is an iconic monument to be sure; it’s one of the world’s most recognizable and visited landmarks. The Arch has always been adored for the American ideals it represents – hard work, triumph and exploration, to name just a few.
Thanks to the hard work of the NECA/IBEW Powering America team, six NECA contractors and over 100 IBEW Local 1 electricians, people that come to admire the arch’s beauty are able to have a safe, interactive experience.
Both the contractors in charge of the management and the workers tasked with completing the installation, worked hard to complete upgrades on the tram and museum, using innovative LED lighting techniques and putting safety training to good use…
Visitors can now enjoy the rich history of St. Louis and learn the story of the city that was ‘The Gateway to the West’.
The NECA/IBEW Powering America team has an incredible, supportive relationship with one another. There’s a respect not typically found between management and labor in the construction industry which allows them to make every task they complete run smoothly. For the museum inside and the Arch itself, the NECA/IBEW Powering America team did a tremendous amount of work around the ‘visitor experience’ that’ll be unparalleled for the nearly 4 million visitors it sees each year.
Thanks to the highly qualified, well-trained NECA/IBEW Powering America team, this project was completed with confidence. There’s no doubt the arch and museum will be used to learn and enjoyed for generations to come.
