How did you do the math of $0.40 a mile for gas vs. $0.02 a mile for electric? I did the math and it looks like it costs about $0.126 a mile for gas, and $0.0276 a mile for electric. Still a nice 4.5x improvement but it falls a little short of the claimed 20x improvement...

I have to agree with 'justaflickaway'
you need to back up your math with a few specifics! I would like to know how these numbers were arrived at.

Thank you for your comments. The cost relates to not only gasoline, but oil, filters, oil changes, etc. The other ancillary costs associated with a gas powered engine.

I got the math and the practical charge .what about the uplift for using someones electricity in their parking lot.would there be governmental regulations and taxes to offset the losses from gas not being used.
